Worxshop is run by Gaurav Dhar from the United Arab Emirates. This page explains what Worxshop collects when you use this site, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.

Worxshop is responsible for the information described here, and is who you are dealing with when you send anything through this site. Write to info@worxshop.vc.

It is written to describe what the system actually does rather than to cover every eventuality, so it is short.

What we collect

Worxshop only collects what you type into a form. There is no tracking of you across other websites, and no advertising pixels.

When you send an enquiry or apply for a founder session, we store:

  • Your first name, last name, email address and country, which are required.
  • Your phone number and company, if you choose to give them.
  • What you write in the message, and the answers to the follow-up questions for whatever you selected.
  • Whether you agreed to these terms, and when.
  • A one-way hash of your IP address, not the address itself, used to limit abuse of the form.
  • Your browser's user agent, and the page or campaign that referred you.

Cookies and storage

This site sets no cookies. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel, and nothing that follows you to another website.

Two small things are kept in your browser for the length of your visit: a note that the opening animation has already played, so that it does not play again, and how far down a page you had reached, so that coming back to it does not send you to the top. Both are cleared when you close the tab, neither identifies you, and neither is sent anywhere.

Signing in to the private admin area keeps a session in that browser, which is what keeps you signed in. That applies only to the people who have accounts.

Why we collect it

To reply to you, to consider your session application, and to send you the newsletter if you asked for it. Nothing else.

The legal basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box before you submit. You can withdraw it at any time.

Who can see it

Gaurav Dhar and the site administrator. Nobody else has an account.

What you write in a message is held separately from the rest of your details and is restricted further, so that an account with limited permissions can see that an enquiry arrived without being able to read its contents. Every read of that content is logged.

Who else is involved

The database and authentication are provided by Supabase, and the site is delivered through Cloudflare. Both process data on our behalf and neither uses it for their own purposes.

The typefaces are served from this site rather than from a font service, so opening a page does not tell anyone else that you were here.

If you play an episode, the video comes from YouTube on its no-cookie domain, and only after you press play. Nothing is requested from YouTube before that, so a visit where you do not watch anything involves them not at all.

If you subscribe to the newsletter, your name and email will be passed to the email platform that sends it once one is chosen. Until then the list stays in our own database and nothing is sent.

Worxshop does not sell your data and does not share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. The abuse-prevention records are deleted within a few hours.

What you can ask for

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent. Every newsletter will also carry a one-click unsubscribe link.

Write to info@worxshop.vc and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

This site is not intended for anyone under 16, and Worxshop does not knowingly collect information from them. Founder sessions are open to students, who we expect to be at university age or above.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we do with information already collected, we will contact the people affected rather than quietly updating this page.
